A long overdue tribute to my mentor

As we go about our post KML lives, attending our works, driving our families in our cars, as we took pride in our accomplishments and as we sleep soundly in our comfortable beds, a battle is raging. A battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil, between those who promote ignorant and those who cherish and embrace enlightenment.

Many courageous and great men have taken on this eternal struggle, but there is only one who has never bent, never backed down, neither waver nor falter to do what needs to be done. He is a simple, generous man who gave it all so the rest of us may live out our lives in ecstasy of salvation.

He seeks no recognition, nor does he request any credit. There are neither medals, nor honorary titles for men such as him. Despite all the challenges thrown at him, he soldier on and fight for us and then bruised and bloodied ,he return to his simple life of anonymity, teaching and mentoring his next batch of students. So that they too can be enlightened and free from ignorance, prejudice, and superstition.

Who is this great man? His name does not matter. But you can be sure of one thing, he wouldn’t mind a freaking simple gesture of posting “Hi Sir, how are you?” on his facebook wall once in a while. For all of us owed him a great deal of debt in our lives.

On dreams and keeping them alive ....figuratively

I was at the office today, wearing my proper office attire, sipping my office supplied instant 3 in 1 regular Nescafe, sitting on my office chair, trying to finish some office chore on my office desk when this thought jerk me off from my office induced mindless state. lifeless, apathetic, and totally lacking in independent judgment; one might mistaken me as a zombie.

Daydreaming, the best of what classroom can offer
The thought of being able to daydream, well in my case it’s the lack of it. I spent a 5 fuken productive Zen like minutes to actually daydream, yes I HAD TO ACTUALLY TRY TO DAYDREAM, but to no avail. Pathetic?  yes definitely.

That 5 minutes of futile effort has allowed me to come to this conclusion” I have resigned to the fact that as we get old, decrepit and aged, one's need to daydream actually minify, lessen and to a point diminish completely”. Such is a curse of being a working adult L

Then it struck me, I was smitten by the thought: what if the ability to daydream hasn’t gone away, what if its morph into something else. After all, daydreaming is dreamlike musings or having fantasies while awake. What if we substitute it with something else, something that doesn’t stop us to dream yet so conveniently allow us to appear connected to our surrounding while have our mind deeply entrenched into it.
What if we substitute daydreaming with facebooking, blogwalking, tweeting, youtubing, chain emailing et cetera, et cetera.

So, if you ever feel down about losing ability to daydream. Spend a little time with above mentioned activities. Let them remind you again of the constants in your life. That for each day as you live, there remains a promise of much more to come. Cherish it…….. and yeah thank God for the internet

Hello 2011

Time for some updating already ... I can even see spider webs around here!

So, it's been year or maybe two years since the last update huh? To hell with it. Now for some updates. Hmmm, can't even recall who got married or who just delivered but I do know our friend Sangu(Check out his blog for the cover story) and Sherlye has tied the knot ... finally. After all the drama haha, my bad I mean after waiting sooo looong!

Anyway I salute you Sangu for being one of the guys who got married and of course we're happy for you two :) It's 2011, so who's next on the list? To name a few, there's S, there's B. Go figure!

You can say this blog's really useless nowadays since there's Facebook (FB) that's even more up to date.
